U.S. suggested high-risk area for Turkish troops

Fighting continues in Al-Anbar, where Turkish soldiers will possibly be deployed in the event of a parliament decision to send troops. In the skirmishes, described as ‘resistance’ by the Arab media, many American soldiers have been killed. Last week, the Third Armored Regiment and Ebu Garip Prison, in the Sunni Triangle, was atacked. Three American soldiers and an unknown number of Iraqis died in the attacks. How the resistance to the U.S.from the tribes, will change after the deployment of Turkish troops remains unknown. It had been stressed in the assessments conducted by Foreign Ministry, National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and military intelligence that tribal leaders should be persuaded. Experts say that tribe leaders have not been completely convinced about the Turkish mision. The Foreign Ministry, however, claims that the tribes treat Turkish soldiers warmly.
