U.S. Congress and Senate Delegations to Visit Turkey

According to information obtained from diplomatic sources, one member from both the Senate and House of Representatives, with their delegations, will have contacts in Ankara.

Also, a new U.S. Ambassador to Ankara, Eric Edelman, has been named as Robert Pearson’s replacement.

Edelman is expected to arrive at Ankara on Friday. Edelman will begin by presenting a letter of trust to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer shortly after his arrival.
