Two Americans detained in cocaine bust

Police said customs authorities found the cocaine in a suitcase belonging to one of the women. The Anatolia news agency said she arrived on a flight from Frankfurt, Germany.

Another U.S. citizen who had been waiting for the passenger at the airport was also detained, Anatolia added.

Police did not identify the women and U.S. officials did not comment.

Turkish media put the value of the cocaine at US$5 million.
