Turks more sensitive to forests than Europeans

The Czech Republic was found to be the most sensitive country with 99 percent and Turkey shared second place with Greece who received the same ratio.

It has been revealed that most sensitive country, believing that there should be more national parks and similar preserved areas, was Greece and Turkey again took second place with Romania.

As result of research carried out revealing societies’ approval on the usage of forestry land, Turkish people support educational and scientific works (85 percent), recreational activities (77 percent), tourism (83 percent) and collecting of fruit and agricultural products (67 percent).

Turkey ranks first with the negative replies it has given on construction, hunting and cutting trees on forestry land.
