Turkmenbasi also praised Turkish schools in Turkmenistan and discussed the need for more investment from Turkey. Emphasizing that the schools in his country had come firstly from Turkey, he said: "Those Turkish schools are the most beautiful schools here. Thanks be to God, they present the most beautiful education and in the best way. They obey God. They converted from Christianity, and they became Muslim. I love them. Thus, our relations with our Turkish brothers are in a good state." Turkmenbasi mentioned Turkish investment in Turkmenistan and said that valuable projects had been already been carried out, particularly reforestation efforts in Askabat and various construction projects.
