Turkiye’s economic confidence index falls to 95.8 in June


Turkiye’s economic confidence index experienced a notable decline in June 2024, dropping to 95.8 from 98.2 in May, a decrease of 2.5 per cent, as per the Turkish statistical institute Turkstat. This decline reflects a broader loss of confidence across various sectors.

The retail trade confidence index decreased by 2.6 per cent, falling from 111.7 to 108.8.

The consumer confidence index saw a significant drop of 2.7 per cent, falling to 78.3 from 80.51 in the previous month, Turkstat said in a press release.

In June 2024, Turkiye’s economic confidence index fell to 95.8, a 2.5 per cent decrease from May’s 98.2, according to Turkish statistical institute Turkstat.
The retail trade confidence index dropped by 2.6 per cent to 108.8, and the consumer confidence index fell by 2.7 per cent to 78.3.
The real sector’s confidence index declined by 1.9 per cent to 100.5.

The real sector, encompassing the manufacturing industry, also faced a downturn with its confidence index decreasing by 1.9 per cent, from 102.4 to 100.5.
