Türkiye’s economic confidence dips in services, retail, and construction

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported on Thursday that confidence indices across key sectors declined in April compared to the previous month.

The seasonally adjusted confidence index fell by 4.3% to 109.5 in the services sector, dropped by 2.5% to 110.6 in the retail trade sector, and decreased by 4.2% to 85.1 in the construction sector.

The declines reflect growing uncertainty in these industries, with the construction sector showing the lowest confidence level among the three.

TurkStat’s data highlights challenges facing Türkiye’s economy as businesses navigate ongoing market conditions. (ILKHA)
