Türkiye's daily power consumption down 5.61% on Jan. 25
– Electricity exports amount to 15,944 megawatt-hours and imports total 735 megawatt-hours
Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 5.61% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 944,574 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,747 megawatt-hours at7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country’s electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,695 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 959,758 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of 5.29% compared to Friday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 29.1% of total generation, while imported coal and hydroelectricity plants contributed 25.1% and 11.2%, respectively.
