Türkiye’s BIST 100 index ends week in red | News
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index ended Friday at 9,111.50 points, falling 0.32% from the previous close.
Ending its three-session winning streak on Friday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 fell 29.20 points from Thursday’s close.
On a weekly basis, the index gained more than 3% on Friday.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 7.7 trillion Turkish liras ($242.3 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 56 billion Turkish liras ($1.76 billion).
The price of an ounce of gold was $2,170.95, while Brent crude oil sold for around $85.43 per barrel as of 6.11 p.m. local time (1511GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 32.0320, the euro/lira exchange rate was 34.6843, while the British pound traded at 40.3768 liras.
