Türkiye’s ACM Air resumes operations

ACM Air (Turkey) has announced the resumption of its business charter operations as of May 28, 2024, using a single Gulfstream Aerospace GIV.

TC-GVB (msn 1027) operated Istanbul Atatürk-Ankara Esenboga-Istanbul Atatürk on May 27, followed by test flights to Balikesir and Izmir Adnan Menderes the day after. It resumed international operations on June 2, flying to Belgrade Nikola Tesla and Moscow before returning directly to Istanbul. The 36.1-year-old aircraft has been operated by ACM Air since May 2021.

The Turkish airline used to operate another GIV, TC-GVA (msn 1043), which was seized at Fortaleza International in August 2021 after the authorities discovered 1.3 tonnes of cocaine on board. ACM denied involvement and blamed a Spanish passenger. The aircraft appears to be still stored at the Brazilian airport.
