Türkiye Dominates Latvia 4-0, Seals Spot in EURO 2024


Türkiye secured their spot in the UEFA EURO 2024 with a convincing 4-0 win over Latvia at the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Stadium on Sunday. After a stalemate in the first half, the home team found their stride after the break. Yunus Akgun opened the scoring in the 58th minute, followed by a brace from Cenk Tosun in the 84th and 92nd minutes. Kerem Akturkoglu added the third goal in the 88th minute.

With this victory, Türkiye finished atop Group D with 16 points, confirming their participation in EURO 2024.

In other qualifying matches, Spain narrowly defeated Norway 1-0, courtesy of Gavi’s 49th-minute strike, ensuring their position at the top of Group A with 15 points. Despite being level on points with Spain, Scotland clinched the second spot due to goal difference and will also be heading to EURO 2024.
