Turkish worker killed, one seized in Afghanistan

KABUL – A Turkish engineer was killed and another kidnapped in southern Afghanistan on Friday in an attack officials blamed on Islamic militants.

An Afghan security guard was also killed and a second guard kidnapped in an ambush of their vehicle in the Shar Joy district of the southern province of Zabul, where Taliban guerrillas have been active in recent months.
