Turkish Teams Draw Difficult Rivals in UEFA Cup

While Galatasaray is set to meet Villarreal at home, Besiktas is on the road to Valencia.

Genclerbirligi will meet Parma in Italy and Gaziantepspor will host AS Roma.

First leg matches will be held on February 26th 2004 and the return games are set for March 3rd 2004.

Besiktas Coach Mircea Lucescu said: "We have drawn the most difficult teams among the probable rivals. We need to eliminate Valencia in order to get points and gain a reputation in European football."

Galatasaray Coach Fatih Terim said, "No matter which team we have drawn, we need to play well to pass the round."
