Turkish Red Crescent aid for Fallujah
The supplies, including tents, blankets, pillows, kitchen kits, food, drinking water, soap and various medicines, will be handed over to the Iraqi Red Crescent at the Habur border gate.
Deputy Director General of Kizilay Bülent Ay said the humanitarian aid package was valued at almost $350,000.
Ay did not elaborate when asked whether the reason for delivery taking place at the border gate was due to security concerns, Anatolia reported. A member of Kizilay died from injuries he received when the vehicle in which he was traveling was attacked by unidentified gunmen near the northern Iraqi city of Mosul in September.
