Turkish PM Erdogan: We Have To Go To Iraq
Gul said that Turkey would act jointly with U.S. in order to terminate PKK-KADEK in Northern Iraq and that, “U.S. understands us now. She stands closer.” Erdogan said, “We have to go there for the interests of Turkey, peace and restructuring of Iraq, and for contributing to peace in the region. We will negotiate with U.S. from the position of power after we get the permission from Parliament. If we agree with U.S. our troops will go to the region. However it will, again, be up to us to leave the table if we cannot agree on the issues, in which we have sensitivities.”
