Turkish PM Erdogan denies US rift
Speaking in Brussels Tuesday where he was attending a meeting of government leaders of NATO bloc members, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan dismissed media reports claiming that Washington was concerned at the perceived anti-US sentiment in Turkey.
The reports also said that the US had issued a warning to Ankara that bilateral ties could suffer if the Turkish government did not work to bolster public support for America and its policies.
However, Erdogan said that such reports were baseless.
“These kinds of debates do not affect our strategic partners,” he said. “Relations between two governments are good.”
