Turkish Media Executive Is Sentenced
Nokia and Motorola, the largest and second-largest makers of mobile phones, sued Mr. Uzan and his brother, sister and father in New York in January.
The companies said they were owed almost $3 billion for loans made to the Uzans to build a cellular network. Motorola said the Uzans had not fully disclosed their assets.
The Uzans will be extradited from Turkey to Britain under the European Convention on Extradition. They are scheduled to be tried in New York in February.
