Turkish Entrepreneurs Employ 290,000 in Germany
Despite the negative effect of the recent recession in Europe on these Turkish entrepreneurs, third-generation Turks continue to start businesses. Many Turkish entrepreneurs, particularly those who are quick-thinking, decisive, and not hesitant to take risks, become successful. They insist on having their own businesses to demonstrate their allegiance to their adopted countries. Accepting Germany as a second homeland, Turks do not hesitate to establish their future there. According to a recent poll, 56,800 Turkish entrepreneurs operate business in Germany. This is down from 60,000 in 2000, a decrease resulting from the recession and the take-over of their small businesses by larger companies.
