Turkish and Japanese "Art Triangle"
The exhibitions starts on September 22 will run till October 2. There is no entry charge.
Public relations officer for the Asashi Art project, Huseyin Bozkurt said that Japan does this kind of project in a different country every year, and that this year, it was Turkey’s turn.
Bozkurt said the ‘The Art Triangle’, held in 2000 for the first time, was a success and very productive in Turkey and that if requested, the project could continue and expand in the following years.
Led by Turkish artist Gultekin Cizgen and with the support of Mimar Sinan University, 200 Japanese and 50 Turkish artists will display 350 pieces of art. Among the works, "Kakejuku" from the traditional Japanese arts, is attracting attention. The painting, with its writings from top to bottom on canvas, features figures peculiar to Japanese culture.
