Turkish Airlines maintains its dominance as Turkey’s most valuable brand



(MENAFN) In an announcement by Brand Finance, renowned as the leading brand valuation consultancy globally, Turkish airlines has once again secured its position as Turkey’s most valuable brand for the seventh consecutive year, despite a slight dip in its brand value. The national flag carrier’s brand value, valued at USD1.985 billion in 2024, witnessed a marginal decrease from the previous year’s USD2 billion valuation.

Following closely behind Turkish Airlines are major Turkish appliances manufacturers Arcelik and Vestel, with brand values of USD1.265 billion and USD917 million, respectively. Notably, private lender Isbank has surged ahead in the rankings, overtaking financial service company Garanti BBVA, with its brand value escalating to USD859 million in 2024 from USD736 million in the preceding year, securing the fourth position.

Garanti BBVA, despite augmenting its brand value from USD767 million in 2023 to USD831 million in 2024, finds itself in the fifth place. The top ten also includes significant players like automaker Ford Otosan, state lender Ziraat Bank, private lenders Yapi Kredi and Akbank, and fashion retailer LC Waikiki.

Turkish Airlines Chairman Ahmet Bolat expressed his satisfaction with the airline’s continued dominance, emphasizing how it motivates the entire Turkish Airlines workforce towards greater achievements. Bolat reiterated the airline’s commitment to enhancing its contribution to Turkey’s economy, employment sector, and all associated industries.

Brand Finance, with over two decades of experience in brand valuation, evaluates a staggering 5,000 brands annually. Turkish Airlines, founded in 1933 with just five aircraft, has grown substantially over the years, currently boasting a fleet of 456 aircraft, both passenger and cargo, operating flights to 346 destinations worldwide, including 293 international and 53 domestic routes. This steadfast growth underscores the airline’s enduring influence and significance in the global aviation industry.
