Turkish Airlines Boosts Summer 2025 Flights from UK and Ireland
Turkish Airlines, the world’s most globally connected airline, is expanding its summer 2025 schedule, offering more flights from the UK and Ireland to Istanbul and beyond.
This move caters to growing demand for Türkiye’s rich culture, stunning coastlines, and vibrant hospitality, while also providing seamless connections to destinations across the globe.
UK and Ireland Flight Increases
Starting this week, London Heathrow will see an increase from 45 to 47 weekly flights to Istanbul, adding two more weekly services.
London Gatwick will also gain extra capacity, with flights rising from 26 to 28 per week. Meanwhile, Manchester’s Istanbul route will grow from 25 to 28 weekly flights, ensuring four daily connections for travellers.

In Ireland, Dublin will benefit from an increase in services, moving from 18 to 21 weekly flights. This expansion offers three daily departures, making it easier for Irish travellers to explore Türkiye or connect to other destinations.
Scotland is also part of the summer boost, with Edinburgh’s Istanbul flights increasing from 10 to 14 per week.
From June 10, Birmingham travellers will enjoy four additional weekly flights, bringing the total to 18 services between the UK’s second-largest city and Istanbul. These enhancements provide more flexibility for holidaymakers and business travellers alike.

Harun Basturk, Turkish Airlines’ SVP of Sales, shared insights on the latest expansion. “The UK and Ireland show strong year-round demand for Türkiye, especially in summer, thanks to its history, cuisine, and beautiful resorts. We’re increasing flights to meet this demand and offer more travel options.”
He also highlighted the airline’s extensive global reach: “As the airline flying to more destinations than any other, our network spans Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania. Istanbul Airport, the world’s most connected hub, ensures smooth onward journeys.”
Founded in 1933 with just five aircraft, Turkish Airlines, a Star Alliance member, now operates a fleet of 478 aircraft. The carrier serves 352 destinations worldwide, including 299 international and 53 domestic routes across 131 countries.
This latest UK and Ireland expansion reinforces its commitment to connecting travellers to Türkiye and beyond with unmatched convenience.
