Turkey’s welded tube exports down 14.5% in January-August


In August this year, Turkey’s total welded tube exports rose by 21.3 percent month on month to 139,816 mt and declined by 20.9 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $150.11 million, up by 22.9 percent month on month and down by 29.4 percent from August 2022.

In the January-August period this year, Turkey’s welded tube exports amounted to 1.16 million mt, down 14.5 percent, while the value of these exports moved down by 25.3 percent to $1.21 billion, both compared to the same period of 2022.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded tube export destination was Romania which received 171,446 mt. Romania was followed by Morocco with 134,410 mt and the UK with 95,662 mt.
