Turkey’s welded tube exports down 12% in January-May


In May this year, Turkey’s total welded tube exports rose by 1.5 percent month on month to 148,189 mt and declined by 16.5 percent year on year, according to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). These exports had a value of $156 million, up by 2.2 percent month on month and down by 24.2 percent from May 2022.

In the January-May period this year, Turkey’s welded tube exports amounted to 724,947 mt, down 12.0 percent, while the value of these exports moved down by 22.2 percent to $738 billion, both compared to the same period of 2022.

In the given period, Turkey’s largest welded tube export destination was Morocco which received 103,802 mt. Morocco was followed by Romania with 99,056 mt and the UK with 53,986 mt.
