Turkey’s regular energy usage drops by 3.5pct on July 2
(MENAFN) Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) data released on Sunday shows that the nation’s regular electricity usage declined by 3.58 percent on Saturday in comparison to the day before, standing at 929,642 megawatts per hours.
According to TEIAS statistics, the peak hourly power usage was 43,213 megawatts per hours at 12:00 regional time (0900 GMT). At 7:00 a.m. regional time, the nation’s power usage reached its lowest point of 31,211 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).
On Saturday, 921,483 megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, a 3.61 percent reduction in comparison to the previous day.
Wind energy and natural gas factories comprised by 17.9 percent and 15.3 percent of the overall generation, correspondingly. On the other hand, whereas imported coal factories constituted by 18.4 percent of the electricity produced overall.
The nation’s electrical exports on Saturday were 7,977 megawatts per hours, whereas its imports were 16,136 megawatts per hours.
