Turkey’s regular energy usage drops by 12pct on June 12


(MENAFN) Based on the official numbers released by the Turkish Power Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday, regular electricity usage in Turkey fell by 12 percent on Sunday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 759,625 megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS statistics, hourly electricity usage reached 35,005 megawatts per hours at 22.00 regional time (1900 GMT). At 07.00 regional time, the nation’s power use has plummeted to its lowest point of 26,708 megawatts per hours (0400 GMT).

On Sunday, electricity output totaled 747,173 megawatts per hours, a decline of 12.41 percent from Saturday.

Hydroelectric power factories comprised by 18.3 percent of overall electricity, whereas lignite and imported coal factories constituted by 17.4 percent and 17.1 percent, correspondingly.
