Turkey’s President Veteos Law to Let Erdogan Run

Earlier this month, Turkey’s election board accepted an AKP petition challenging election results from Siirt province. The election board canceled the results, forcing a by-election to be held early next year. Should the AKP get parliamentary approval of the amendments in the second debate, Mr. Erdogan could stand for election in Siirt province, paving the way for him to enter parliament and to become prime minister.
