Turkey’s Kurdish ban attacked

Turkey fears that in any war against Iraq, the Kurds in northern Iraq would demand wider autonomy that could fuel similar demands from Kurds living in south-east Turkey.
The Hadep and Dehap, however, have denied charges of having direct links with the Kurdistan People’s party that until recently carried out armed actions for Kurdish autonomy in south-east Turkey.
