The Turkish squad has been disrupted by late withdrawal, with two of the side’s best known midfielders out of contention.
Turkey plays Latvia in Riga Saturday knowing that it needs at least a draw to give itself a good chance of winning through to the Euro 2004 championships in Portugal.
