Turkey’s daily energy usage drops by 0.95 percent on July 27


(MENAFN) Based on the official data released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday, daily energy usage in Turkey declined by 0.95 percent on Wednesday in comparison to the prior day, standing at 1.04 million megawatts per hours.

According to TEIAS figures, hourly energy usage reached 50,012 megawatts per hours at 03.00 p.m. regional time (1200 GMT). At 07.00 a.m. regional time (0400 GMT), the nation’s electricity consumption declined to the lowest point of 34,847 megawatts per hours.

On Wednesday 1.04 million megawatts per hours of electricity were produced, which is a decline of 0.9 percent from Tuesday.

Natural gas factories comprised by 31.8 percent of the total amount of electricity produced, whereas imported coal power factories and hydroelectricity factories constituted by 21 percent and 12.1 percent, correspondingly.

The nation’s power exports on Wednesday reached 9,354 megawatts per hours, while its imports came to 18,698 megawatts per hours.
