(MENAFN) Turkey’s main share index started at 5,443.83 points on Wednesday, surging 0.17 percent, or 9.32 points, from the prior end.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped by 1.26 percent to end standing at 5,434.51 points.
The US dollar/Turkish lira selling price stood at 18.7115 as of 9.55 a.m. regional time (0655GMT), the euro/lira selling price reached an amount of 19.9242, and a British pound exchanged for 22.5155 liras.
Precious metals were higher with the price of gold increasing 0.8 percent to USD1,813 an ounce and silver adding 1.3 percent to stand at USD24.05.
International benchmark Brent crude exchanged at USD84.33 a barrel as of 10.08 AM regional time (0708GMT), decreasing 0.41 percent from the ending price of USD84.68 per barrel in the prior exchange session.
American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) sold at USD79.06 a barrel at the same time, a 0.59 percent decline following the last session ended standing at USD79.53 per barrel.
