Turkey’s approach makes a solution difficult
ATHENS (AA) – Greek Foreign Minister George Papandreou said today that Turkey’s approach made things difficult to reach a solution over the Cyprus issue by May 1.
Papandreou stated that they would never accept any proposal but UN Secretary General Kofi Annan’s.
He added, "This issue can’t reach a solution by May 1. These difficulties are derived from Turkey’s approach and Turkish Cypriot President Rauf Denktas. In addition, Turkey’s National Security Council (MGK) meeting also has a different approach then Annan plan."
