Turkey to Host Middle East Peace Process

Stating that Turkey has gained prestige in every field, Erdogan said that Turkey’s significance in the international world had been confirmed by Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul’s participation at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Foreign Ministers’ meeting and the conference of Islamic countries’ foreign ministers.

Indicating that Turkey is progressing in its world relations, Erdogan announced that he would visit Malaysia and Pakistan as part of a large group of officials. Erdogan also explained that Deputy Prime Minister Abdullatif Sener would visit Kyrgyzhstan and that Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan would visit Gulf countries. Erdogan said, "We are opening the blocked [communication] channels. People who presently find it hard to understand what we’re doing, will, in time, understand."
