Turkey to examine problems of Turkish citizens in EU

Parliamentary Investigation Commission Chairman Mustafa Bas held a press conference on Thursday and gave information about the tour which would start on Friday and end on November 7.

The delegation which will be headed by AK Party member Avni Dogan will hold meetings in Berlin, Hamburg, Copenhagen and Stockholm, while another delegation to be headed by AK Party member Mustafa Bas will visit Cologne, Stuttgart, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Zurich. The third delegation which will be headed by AK party member Mustafa Said Yazicioglu will go to London, Rotterdam, Brussels, Paris and Lyon.

Bas said that 4.5 million Turkish citizens were living abroad and 3.5 million of them were living in Europe. He added that 910 thousand Turkish students were being educated abroad. He noted that nearly 80 thousand Turkish businessmen were providing employment to 420 thousand people in 366 thousand business places and their annual turnover was estimated as 35 billion Euros.

Bas said that they would visit unions, associations, foundations and federations which were established by Turkish citizens abroad and he added that they would also meet with officials who were responsible from foreigners in the countries to be visited.

Bas said that they would visit organizations which were not involved in terrorism and not sentenced due to terrorist crimes and were not wanted due to terrorist crimes.
