Turkey Short of Officers for EU Negotiations

On Sunday, the Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) Adana Deputy Nevin Gaye Erbatir asked Sungar about the integration of public employees in the EU. Sungar responded by saying that although the structure of the core negotiation committee has been supported, "It is true that the current number of employees is not sufficient."

The committee should be composed of people who are fluent in a foreign language and know negotiation techniques, Sungar said, "It is important to compose a long-term strategy to overcome the human resource deficit with the cooperation of educational institutions both in Turkey and abroad."
