Turkey says it can supply more gas to Europe as flow through Ukraine stops
ANKARA — Turkey is ready to contribute more to Europe’s energy security as a hub for natural gas supplies, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said in an interview after flows of Russian gas through Ukraine ended.
If there is “political willingness and commitment” in Europe and additional interconnection investments are made, Turkey can boost gas exports to central and eastern Europe by up to 10 billion cubic meters a year in the future using a Balkan pipeline route, Bayraktar told Nikkei.
