Turkey, Russia Agree On Gas Increase

They said the increase in Russian gas deliveries would significantly boost trade between the two countries, now reported at $10 billion a year.

"In the energy sphere, we agreed on boosting Russian gas supplies and on Russia’s participation in gas distribution in the Turkish territory," Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin said he also reached agreement with Erdogan for the construction of a gas storage facility in Turkey. He did not elaborate.
