Pakdemirli advocated the idea that today the price should be $60. Pointing out that the 25-year agreement with Russia is still in use, Pakdemirli said according to the agreement, there was an assumption that concerning prices would be able to be changed only in accordance with the calorie in natural gas. Pakdemirli stressed that that can be reflected in the prices in a way as plus or minus 10 percent. Stating that he bargained in the first agreement, Pakdemirli said that Russia presented alternatives apart from the fuel oil indexed prices, but weren’t accepted.
Pakdemirli said that they had told Russian authorities that at that period since some electric stations were using fuel oil and more charming prices than fuel oil not presented their natural gas purchasing wouldn’t mean anything. Pakdemirli stated that their goal was that the gas be purchased from recycling stations would be used as raw material as well as fuel being used in the manure industry to prevent air pollution.
