Turkey names key suspect in Istanbul bomb attacks
Groups with links to Osama bin Laden’s al Qaeda network claimed responsibility for the blasts, which struck two synagogues, the British consulate and London-based bank HSBC.
The attacks occurred on November 15 and 20, killing 61 people. Turkish national Baki Yigit was turned over to a state security court pending charges, Istanbul’s anti-terrorism office said in a statement carried by state-run Anatolian news agency.
