Turkey: Lowest inflation rate in last 20 years

According to State Institute of Statistics (DIE) figures, for the first eight months of the year inflation in consumer prices was 11,7 percent and 10,7 percent in wholesale prices. Seed inflation increased by 0,7 percent for the month of August.

On the other hand, according to the DIE, the highest increase was in private schools with 26, 7 percent, and there was also a 6,4 percent price increase in nursery and kindergartens.

According to the research DIE made, notebooks prices increased by 0,6 percent last month, and the annual price increase for the same item was registered as 12,1 percent.

On average, ticket prices for sports competitions increased by 18,7 percent last month.
