Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Relations in Perfect Shape

Speaking at a joint press briefing held following a series of committee meetings involving the two countries, Erdogan pointed out that the relationship between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan is based on "mutual understanding." Erdogan went on to say, "We focused on economic and political issues during the discussions today. There’s very good potential for an increase in the trade capacity of our two countries. We will increase our present trade capacity of $40 million to higher volumes."

Prime Minister Tanayev stated that cultural and political relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are in a very good state, noting that the trade and economic sectors should increase to the same level, as well. Tanayev expressed his pleasure with his visit, pointing out that this year was both the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic and the 2,200th anniversary of the foundation of the first Kyrgyz State coming to existence ever.
