‘Turkey-Israel Iraq Policies Overlap’

The Israeli Deputy PM said that providing Iraq’s territorial integrity is Israel’s "state policy" and any claims stating otherwise are false. "Israel’s Iraq policy is parallel to Turkey’s," remarked Olmert. "I conveyed at every opportunity that we are not in Northern Iraq and that we have never been active in that region. It is a lie that Israel is cooperating with Kurds," the Israeli Minister added.

He also stressed that the visit is a turning point for economic cooperation by noting that Turkey-Israel cooperation will help the stability in the Middle East.
