Turkey is first in growth among OECD countries
Talking about economic growth in Turkey, Erdogan said, "When you look at the average growth rate in the past three years, you see that it was eight percent. Turkey has also good export figures and we will also reach our targets in exports this year."
Erdogan went on to say that the convention of the Eurochambers leaders in Istanbul was both important for the Union of Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) and for Turkey. The PM also said that during the meeting the economic parameters of Turkey were discussed, and that Turkey had been praised by the Eurochambers for its economic developments.
When questioned on Turkey’s debt stock, Erdogan said that there was a significant decrease, on interest rates the PM said that the government’s aim was to lower interest rates to below 10 percent.
