Turkey, Iran to boost ties in cooperatives sector

During the meeting, Mar’ashi alluded to the cultural, religious and social commonalties between Iran and Turkey, the Public Relations Department of the Cooperatives Ministry announced.

Due to its religious beliefs, Mar’ashi said Iran attaches great importance to the country’s cooperatives sector.

He said that the entry of cooperatives into the banking system has been paved and expressed hope that the people in both countries would welcome the role of cooperatives in their everyday life.

"The strategy of dealing with cooperatives will help solve the unemployment problem in both countries," he added.

Bozkur Aran, for his part, alluded to the economic, political and cultural relations between Iran and Turkey, saying differences with regard to the TAV and Turkcell contracts have been sorted out.

He invited the Iranian deputy cooperatives minister to visit Turkey and asses the economic development that has been achieved in the country through cooperatives.
