Turkey: "Greek Cypriots don’t want peace deal"

Turkey’s Foreign Ministry accused the Greek Cypriots on Wednesday of not wanting to reach an agreement in difficult Cyprus reunification talks as a
month-end deadline looms.

"It has become clear the Greek Cypriot side does not have the political will and desire for a solution. They seem complacent because they are assured of EU membership as of May 1," Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Namik Tan told a news briefing, using unusually strong language.
