The lira USDTRY traded at 41.9090-41.9440 against the U.S. dollar at 0417 GMT, compared to Thursday’s close of 41.8375.
The main BIST 100 share index XU100 closed 0.90% lower on Thursday at 10,370.78 points.
GLOBAL MARKETS
Asian shares tracked Wall Street lower, bonds extended gains and gold hit a fresh record on Friday, with signs of credit stress at U.S. regional banks putting investors on edge.
ERDOGAN SCHEDULE
President Tayyip Erdogan will make a speech at the 5th Turkey-Africa Business and Economic Forum in Istanbul. (1130 GMT)
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu and Industry Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacir will also speak at the forum. (0700 GMT)
VICE PRESIDENT
Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz will meet Albanian President Bajram Begaj in Tirana and attend the opening ceremony of the Albania-Turkey Investment Forum 2025.

5G TENDER
Turkey’s 5G spectrum tender drew a total of $2.95 billion in winning bids on Thursday, with the country’s major operators Turkcell, Vodafone and Turk Telekom securing key blocks across the 700 MHz and 3.5 GHz frequency ranges.
RUSSIAN OIL IMPORTS
Turkey is set to maintain its imports of Russian Urals crude oil in October at around 280,000 barrels per day (bpd), unchanged from September, according to LSEG shipping data and market sources.
GERMAN FOREIGN MINISTER
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will meet his German counterpart Johann Wadephul and they will hold a joint press conference. (1200 GMT)
