Turkey exports horses to 12 countries

ANKARA (AA) – Turkey has exported 101 horses and colts to 12 countries including the United States and Jordan, in the last three years for 1 million 182 thousand U.S. dollars.

Sources told the A.A correspondent on Saturday that Turkey had exported 101 horses and colts to France, Germany, Britain, Bulgaria, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Morocco, the United States, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Syria and Jordan between 2000 and 2003.

Turkey exported 26 horses in 2000 for 75 thousand 266 U.S. dollars; 42 horses in 2001 for 98 thousand 640 U.S. dollars; 4 horses in 2002 for 77 thousand 808 U.S. dollars; and 29 horses in 2003 for 930 thousand 800 U.S. dollars.

Turkey exported 29 horses and colts to Bulgaria.
