Turkey became the 19th biggest economy in the world
According to the latest data published by the IBRD, per capita income in Turkey increased by 290 dollars (5%) to 6 thousand 120 dollars and her PPP-GNP rose by 40 billion dollar (10.4%) in 2002. The first five countries in the list of big economies are U.S. China, Japan, India, and Germany. Turkey is expected to rise to 17th or 18th rank in the list of 2003.
