Turkey: Another AKP deputy resigns

Suleyman Saribas, a deputy for the south eastern province of Malatya, announced that he was quitting the government’s ranks Monday.
With his resignation, the number of seats held by the AKP of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan fell to 365 in the 500 seat Grand National Assembly. The main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) holds 171 seats, the True Path Party five, the HYP one, with seven deputies sitting independently. There is one vacant seat.
