Turkey and North Korea sign trade deal

The agreement was signed on Friday by Tuncer Kayalar, Turkey’s undersecretary for foreign trade and North Korean’s Ambassador to Bulgaria, Kim Ha Dong.
Ankara formally recognised North Korea in 2001, though neither country has established a diplomatic mission in the other. Currently, trade between the two countries stands at less than $5.0 million.
Turkish forces fought against North Korean troops as part of the United Nations contingent in the Korea War.
