Turkey agrees to seven direct flights

The press release said the ambassador at a meeting with Tourism and Culture Minister Rais Munir Ahmad said visa policy would also be reviewed to boost social and cultural links. The minister proposed direct flights between the two countries and informed the envoy that he would visit Turkey after getting an approval from Prime Minister Zafarullah Khan Jamali to promote “two-way tourism”. He said both countries had brotherly relations and these must be strengthened further through enhanced tourism and cultural exchange. He praised Turkish carpet industry, food and beautiful mosques there.

The ambassador said the Turkish government was willing to start seven direct flights between Karachi and Istanbul after settling formalities with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). He said the visa policy would also be reviewed to boost social and cultural exchange.
